Blackbird has adopted a variety of technologies and is strong supporter of the open source software movement. Some of the technologies that Blackbird supports are: Mozilla browser project; Google custom search; OpenX and WordPress. Also, Blackbird has partnered with CodeBlack, Good2Gether and SimplyHired to delivery additional functionality to the browser. Content partners are also an important of enhancing the online community. Blackbird has partnered with NorthStar News, Hulu, Godbrothers, Uptown Magazine and others to deliver channels of video content through the browser interface. GIVE BACK PROGRAM GIVES VISIBILITY TO COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS
Blackbird recognizes that African American community organizations need and deserve greater visibility on the web. Blackbird has partnered with Good2Gether to power the Blackbird Give Back button.
